Project Title : Realignment of Jurong Island Highway
Technique : Vibro Compaction
JTC Corporation decided to re-align the Jurong Island Highway in the Sakra area of Jurong Island. The new highway alignment runs over reclaimed sandfill varying in thickness from about 10m to 25m. A corridor of about 60m was compacted for the highway and service corridor. Keller mobilized 3 nos. Vibro Compaction rigs densify the reclaimed sandfill to the JTC Highway specifications. Works were carried out day and night, near an operational chemical plant.
